The World Maritime University (WMU) was founded in 1983 by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a specialized agency of the United Nations, as its premier centre of excellence for maritime postgraduate education, research, and capacity building.
The Postgraduate Diploma is offered by the World Maritime University (WMU), founded by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a specialized agency of the United Nations, and by DNV GL, the world’s largest ship and offshore classification society. The programme combines the knowledge and experience of two world-class institutions.
The WMU Library offer either a class, workshop or help session each Thursday at 14.00. The sessions are aimed towards MSc students writing their dissertations, however Ph.Ds and staff are also welcome.

While completing her PhD studies, Robyn worked for a period as a member of faculty at Dalian Maritime University in China, assisting with the delivery of a World Maritime University MSc programme in Maritime Safety and Environmental Management, and also studied Mandarin Chinese.
