Is technology making us dumber or smarter? Yes.
It is making us rude and dumber. Well, Even if people are saying that technology is making us rude, It's true! Every day people are playing games which sometimes make people do stupid stuff, Like go talk a stranger or go read this piece of info when they're not supposed too. This is one reason why technology is making us dumb.
But are these things making us dumber, or are they simply challenging us to become smarter in new ways? I would argue they are doing both. To the extent that we want to use them to become more intelligent, they are doing so; but the very same tools can just as easily be used to become dumber and less informed, just as television can, or the telephone or any other technology, including books.
Let me briefly review the arguments of the “making us smarter” camp. The proponents of that view first remind us that every new technology was originally decried as the potential ender of.

Nowadays, students go home and Google.
Nicholas Carr discusses the question of if the internet make you dumber or smarter. Even though many people think that the Internet allows us to get a lot of information and makes life easier, it makes people fall into bad habits. The net regularly interrupts of our lives, and it makes people intersperse, shallow, and inattentive thinkers. Also, the Internet affects our brains. Our thoughts.
I will start off by saying that I do agree with the author in stating that Google is making us (technology driven people) stupid. Modern technology with computers, cell phones and tablets can be credited to allowing us access to the internet. There used to be a time when doing research meant going to the library and checking out a book or encyclopedia and actually looking up the information to.
